Functions and Powers of Executive Committee

1. An Executive Committee is

•The principal committee of the council of a Municipality of a type that is entitled to establish an Executive Committee;
and
•The committee of a Municipal Council which receives reports from the other committees of the Council and which must forward these reports together with its recommendations to the Council when it cannot dispose of the matter in terms of its delegated powers.

2. The executive committee must

•Identify the needs of the municipality
    
•Review and evaluate those needs in order of priority
